The Catalytic Reaction Engineering and Process Intensification Group at the University of Pittsburgh, (Veser Lab) is developing novel catalysts and reactor concepts for next-generation clean energy and chemicals production.  Our group works on a broad range of technologies, including natural gas, solar, and hydrogen based energy production, carbon capture, and process intensification for cleaner, safer, and more resource-efficient chemicals processing.

Our Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for an open-rank faculty position. Successful applicants are expected to have demonstrated strong leadership or show exceptional potential to become leaders in their respective fields and to teach broadly at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. While exceptional applicants in all areas of Chemical Engineering will be considered, we are particularly interested in applications from senior faculty with expertise related to circular economy, electrification, and sustainable chemical manufacturing.
